S. Eliot, but Ezra Pound went over the manuscript, making corrections and changes before sending it on to John Quinn for publication by Knopf. (T. S. Eliot’s original typescript, with title, corrections, and deletions in Ezra Pound’s manuscript, is in the Houghton Library at Harvard.) (The typescript, prepared by Pound, with numerous corrections and additions in his manuscript, is also at Harvard. This was sent to John Quinn on 18 April 1917 by Pound, who wrote in a covering letter: “I have compiled the bibliography. It is ina beastly mess, but let Knopf straighten it out or retype it.” It was in fact printed almost verbatim from Pound’s typescript.)
