In 1959, New Directions published in New York a new edition of the book with title, The Classic Noh Theatre of Japan, by Ezra Pound and Emest Fenollosa, as “New Directions Paperbook P.79.” This reprints the text of the first edition, adding W. B. Yeats’s introduction from Certain Noble Plays of Japan (1916)—A12.
